Use TeamM as a representative

A representative uses their own TeamM account to act for another person’s organization profile. Representative is an account relationship, not an organization role.

  1. Sign in with your own account.
  2. Start the organization’s joining flow.
  3. Choose the option for acting as a representative when TeamM asks who the account is for.
  4. Enter the represented person’s requested information—not your own—where the form identifies that person.
  5. Submit only when the displayed organization, person, team, and relationship match the intended membership.

If the person already has a TeamM profile, ask an organization manager to link your account to that profile or send the appropriate invitation. Do not create a duplicate person.

  1. Open the profile switcher.
  2. Choose the organization and represented person.
  3. Make sure As person names the person you represent.
  4. An active profile can use Calendar, Teams, and Payments. A requested profile with public teams continues its joining steps on Payments. My orders remains in the user menu.

Actions made while As … is selected apply to that person.

Before creating an order, confirm the represented person in the profile switcher. On an order, For … identifies who receives the item and By … identifies who created it.

If either label is wrong, stop before paying. Switch profiles and start the intended task again; do not rely on a manager to reinterpret an order created for the wrong person.

  • Keep your own sign-in credentials private; the represented person does not need your password.
  • Enter information only where the organization requests it.
  • Ask a manager to link the correct account or remove a duplicate profile.
  • Before sharing screenshots, remove addresses, identifiers, payment details, and other people’s information.
  1. Open the user menu and select Join, then check Your profiles under every organization.
  2. Confirm you signed in with the account that accepted the invitation.
  3. Open the original invitation while signed in to that account.
  4. Ask an organization manager to link the correct account or correct the representative access.
