Add, invite, and approve members
Add a person from the team’s Members tab. Search before creating somebody new so their teams, payments, and account access stay together.
Add an existing person
Section titled “Add an existing person”- Open Teams, select the team, then open Members.
- Select Add.
- Search for the person.
- Select the result, then select Add.
If the person already has a Terminated or Archived membership in this team, TeamM offers Restore instead. Restore it rather than adding the person again.
Create a new person and optionally invite them
Section titled “Create a new person and optionally invite them”Managers and Leaders with Leader can manage members can create a person when the search has no correct result.
- From Members → Add, choose Add user.
- Enter the person’s name and other requested details.
- Complete organization-specific fields when they appear.
- To give somebody account access, enter their email and choose the relationship: Owner for the person’s own account or Representative for somebody acting for them.
- Leave both email and relationship empty when the person does not need an account invitation yet.
- Submit.
TeamM adds the new member to the team immediately. When an email and relationship are provided, it also sends an account invitation.
Approve a join request
Section titled “Approve a join request”- Open the team Members tab.
- Set the Status filter to Pending.
- Select the Pending member.
- Ensure the displayed name and organization data identify the requester.
- Select Accept.
Accept changes the join request from Pending to Active. It does not create or complete a payment; handle any required payment separately.
Leader access
Section titled “Leader access”A Leader needs Leader can manage members and access to the relevant team to add, approve, terminate, archive, or restore its members. When adding a member, a Leader can search only the people available for that team. Organization-wide Profiles and paired-account administration are Manager-only.
Availability and recovery
Section titled “Availability and recovery”- No Add control: members can be added only to an active team. Leaders also need Leader can manage members and access to that team.
- Accept is disabled: Managers can accept a Pending request; Leaders also need Leader can manage members.
- Member already exists: use the existing or restore path; do not create another profile.
- Wrong representative email: a Manager must correct the pairing under Profiles → Paired accounts. A Leader should stop and ask a Manager rather than create another person.
