Create schedules and manage events
A schedule creates a repeating series of events. Change the schedule when the repeating pattern changes; edit one event when only that date is different.
Create a recurring schedule
Section titled “Create a recurring schedule”- Open Teams, select the team, then open Schedules.
- Select Add.
- Choose the Start date and optional Until date.
- Set Start time and End time.
- Under Select days, choose every recurring weekday.
- Select a Place or keep the team default.
- Submit, then open Calendar to see the scheduled events.
The start date must be today or later, the until date must be later than the start date, and at least one weekday is required. TeamM interprets the dates and times in the organization time zone.
Change the recurring pattern
Section titled “Change the recurring pattern”- Open the team’s Schedules tab.
- Select the schedule and choose edit.
- Set the Effective date of change.
- Change the repeating days, times, dates, or place and submit.
- In Calendar, ensure earlier occurrences are unchanged and occurrences on or after the effective date follow the new pattern.
Events before the effective date remain unchanged. Events on or after it follow the new pattern.
To change only the recurring place, edit the schedule’s Place instead. Leaving it empty uses the team or meta-team place.
Change one event
Section titled “Change one event”Only a Manager can edit an individual event’s official date/time or place, and the event must be active. Reactivate a cancelled event before editing it.
- Open Calendar and select the event.
- Open its actions and select Edit.
- Expand Datetime or Place.
- Make the one-event change and submit.
- Ensure the event shows the new date, time, or place and another occurrence remains unchanged.
Cancel or reactivate one event
Section titled “Cancel or reactivate one event”- Open the event actions.
- For an active event, select Cancel event.
- For a cancelled event, select Activate event.
Cancelled events remain in TeamM and can be activated again; cancellation does not delete the event.
Compare or merge events
Section titled “Compare or merge events”Managers and assigned Leaders can use Merge Events to record attendance for selected events in one view. It does not change or delete those events. Use Record attendance and class makeup for the steps.
Availability rules
Section titled “Availability rules”- Schedule creation and editing, event date/time and place editing, cancellation, and reactivation are Manager-only.
- Schedules can be added, edited, or removed only while the team is active.
- If only one date is wrong, edit that event instead of changing the schedule.
